Job summary

Shelly Beach Golf Club on the NSW Central Coast invites an enthusiastic Chef/Cook to join our busy kitchen. Enjoy a 38-hour week across four days, with a great work/life balance and staff discounts across food, beverage and golf.

You will be part of a team delivering quality food, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and supporting stock control and customer service. Training and career progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong work ethic and team collaboration.
• Ensure quality and presentation of food.

• Prepare adequate quantities per menu.
• Assist in ordering and stock control.

• Rotate stock to minimize waste.

Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Chef to join our busy Kitchen with a great work/life balance of a 38 hour week across 4 days.

We need a qualified and experienced Chef/Cook who can

• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and work as part of a team
• Support the day-to-day control of food production ensuring that the quality and presentation is exemplary.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ensure enough quantity of all menu items are prepared as per the menu specifications
• Assist in ordering and organisation of food preparation and stock control
• Maintain accurate stock control records in relation to stock on hand
• Facilitate accurate stock rotation to minimize waste
• Be available to work across a weekly roster, including days, Nights, weekends and public holidays
• Be passionate about food and customer service
• Have a strong focus on hygiene, quality and safety, and comply with all company policies and procedures at all times
• Have a committed service mentality, with a focus on both internal and external customer service
