Job summary

New Pinnacle Pty Ltd operates two established Indian restaurants in Tasmania, Amaranta Café Grill & Bar (Hobart CBD) and Bombay On The Beach (Blackmans Bay). Due to ongoing business demand, we are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis.

Prepare and cook North Indian curries, gravies, tandoor and grill items to a high standard. You will run your section during lunch and dinner service and manage daily prep and stock control.

Qualifications

• : Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• : Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine (tandoor experience highly regarded).
• : Preferred qualification in Commercial Cookery.
• : Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• : Good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Run your section during lunch and dinner service.
• Complete daily prep so all sauces and bases are ready before service.
• Maintain consistency in quality, taste and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, including labelling and dating.
• Monitor stock and assist with ordering and inventory.
