Qualifications

• Commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
• Cert IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management are advantageous.
• Minimum 1 year of practical experience in a commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present menu items to established standards.
• Check ingredient quality and dish presentation.
• Coordinate food preparation to support efficient service.
• Contribute to menu planning and seasonal specials.
• Monitor stock levels and ingredients.
• Assist with ordering and receiving food and supplies.
• Manage storage, rotation and portion control.
• Minimise wastage and maintain stock levels.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
• Guide junior kitchen staff when required.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Maintain an organised, safe kitchen throughout service.
