Job summary

Pullman Sydney Hyde Park in Sydney's vibrant CBD is seeking a Chef de Partie for a busy, high-volume hotel kitchen. You will lead by example in preparation, presentation and hygienic standards, while coaching junior chefs and supporting menu development with the Executive and Sous Chefs.

Applicants must have a commercial cookery qualification and full Australian work rights, and reside in Sydney at application.

Job Description

Reporting to our Executive Chef & Sous Chef you will be responsible the preparation, presentation and display of all menu items. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment and equipment. As a leader in our Kitchen you will be expected to develop and coach our junior chefs, and provide them with learning opportunities and access to your experience and knowledge. As our Chef de Partie you will also have the opportunity to work alongside our Executive and Sous Chef on menu development and creation.

Qualifications

Due to the high-volume nature of the role you will be adept at working under pressure in a high-volume environment. You will work well in a team environment as well as autonomously. You will have commercial cookery qualification, and will ideally have previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a Hotel environment or a high-volume venue.

For this position, we will consider only candidates with full Work Rights and living in Sydney at the moment of the application.
