Job summary

Matso's Eumundi on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a motivated hospitality professional to join our kitchen team. You will work with the head chef and senior chefs to prep and execute our elevated casual dining menu featuring pizzas, tacos and shared dishes.

We value a friendly, enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude, flexible hours (20-30 per week), and a passion for delivering creative, visually appealing plates while maintaining high health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• A friendly, enthusiastic team player with a positive can-do attitude.
• Qualified as Level 3 or above in hospitality.
• Available for 20-30 hours per week and flexible rostering.
• Proven hospitality experience with a passion for the industry.
• Creative flair and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Run a section independently and efficiently.
• Contribute to menu development and innovation.
• Demonstrate creative flair with excellent presentation skills.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen team.
• Support senior chefs in organizing and managing sections.

Job description

Matso’s has always been a little different, but we’re proud of that. Sometimes our remoteness has forced our hand, other times the heat has driven us to think differently about flavour and refreshment. From tropical places, with tropical heat, it takes a lot of Australian character and a great sense of humour to thrive.

Starting life as Australia’s most remote brewery at our spiritual home in Broome WA, Matso’s is now enjoyed at pubs, bars and backyards right across the country. In late December 2023 we launched Matso's on the other side of the country in Eumundi on the beautiful and laid back Sunshine Coast.

Inspired by our original, our second home taps into the heritage of an old Queensland pub with a newly renovated building in the back, bringing a large indoor and outdoor made for the family or for a late arvo Ginger Beer on ice.

Role Description

Work closely with the head chef and senior chefs to prep and execute our elevated casual dining menu at Matso's Eumundi on the Sunshine Coast. Our menu features pizza, tacos and a large share section highlighting local produce.
