Job summary

William Wallace Group, a Brisbane-based hospitality business, is seeking skilled chef de parties for production, onsite and offsite events. This role offers a mix of early morning production shifts and a variety of event duties across corporate and private client sites.

You will work closely with Head and Sous Chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences, prepare menu items according to recipes and safety standards, and contribute to a dynamic team across multiple locations in Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• 2+ years of experience in a high-end restaurant, catering business or 5-star hotel.
• Driver's license preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head Chef & Sous Chefs to deliver a consistently exceptional dining experience.
• Prepare menu items as per recipes, kitchen standards and food safety requirements.
• Work in the production kitchen as well as at offsite events, corporate client sites and venues.
• Complete allocated tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Effectively communicate with other team members.
• Prepare menu items for delivered catering, cocktail events, sit down functions, major events and retail outlets.

About the role

We are currently looking for casual & full-time chef de parties to join our team for a range of production, onsite and offsite event shifts.

Production: Monday-Saturday 5:30am-1:30pm

Events: Monday-Sunday Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Based in our production kitchen in Pat Rafter Arena, shifts are available Monday to Sunday day and nighttime depending on business demand.

Qualifications & experience

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• 2+ years' experience in a high-end restaurant, catering business or 5-star hotel.
• Driver's license (preferred but not mandatory).
• Driven to perform at the highest level.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head Chef & Sous Chefs to deliver a consistently exceptional dining experience.
• Prepare menu items as per recipes, kitchen standards and food safety requirements.
• Work in the production kitchen as well as at offsite events, corporate client sites and venues.
• Complete allocated tasks in a timely & efficient manner.
• Effectively communicate with other team members.
• Prepare menu items for delivered catering, cocktail events, sit down functions, major events and retail outlets.
• Review event orders and par levels to create prep lists and ensure items are produced as required.
• Overall responsibility for an allocated section of the kitchen under the guidance of the Sous Chefs.
• Work in a diverse range of locations from the production kitchen to private homes, corporate offices, event venues, major events and retail locations.
• Flexible roster with production & event shifts.
• Be part of a B Corp Certified company.
• Create dishes for a broad range of clientele from luxury brands to corporates and weddings.
• Large airconditioned production kitchen with convenient parking.
