Job summary

William Wallace Group is seeking an enthusiastic Catering Delivery Driver to join our Brisbane team. You will load delivery vehicles, transport food, beverages and equipment to corporate sites, venues and private events, and help with event set ups and pack downs.

You will work closely with Operations and Kitchen Managers to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences. Shifts include mornings on weekdays, with flexibility across schedule and venues as required.

• Assist with basic catering duties between deliveries.
• Support with kitchen hand tasks and food service if required.
• Process client queries and data entry as needed.

About the role

Catering Delivery Drivers are responsible for loading delivery vehicles and delivering food, beverages and equipment to corporate client sites, venues and private event locations as well as secondary duties such as assisting with event set ups/pack downs, completing logistics tasks and maintaining a clean and orderly dispatch area.

This position involves driving a refrigerated van (automatic Hyundai iLoad/Toyota Hilux) and works closely with the Operations Manager and Kitchen Manager to ensure successful implementation of company procedures and create remarkable guest experiences.

There are a variety of shifts available with the busiest periods for this role being 7:30am-1:30pm Monday-Friday.

Primary Duties

• Provide an exemplary level of customer service.
• Picking and packing orders against delivery dockets.
• Completing quality checks prior to dispatch.
• Load catering vans with food orders, beverages & equipment and perform deliveries to client sites.
• Ensure food safety records are maintained.
• Collect equipment, food & beverages from venues post event and return them to base.
• Assist with basic catering duties in between delivery runs.

Secondary Duties

Depending on applicant experience and requested working hours we are flexible with the secondary duties performed by this role such as:

• Kitchen hand - work with the kitchen team performing basic food preparation tasks and cleaning.
• Food & beverage service - provide service at events for cocktail and sit down style menus.
• Administration - assist with daily administration duties such as answering client queries, processing client orders and data entry etc.

Work in a diverse range of locations from the head office to private homes, corporate client sites, event venues, major events and retail locations.

Flexible roster with shifts available across weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
