Job summary

Stamford Plaza Brisbane, part of Stamford Hotels & Resorts, is seeking passionate Commis Chefs to join our Kitchen Brigade on a full-time and casual basis.

Ideal candidates bring at least two years of experience in a similar role, a solid understanding of food safety, and knowledge of Food & Beverage regulations. A culinary degree is preferred, and a strong work ethic is valued in our 5-star hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Degree from internationally recognised culinary institution preferred
• Working knowledge of safe kitchen practices
• Knowledge in Food & Beverage & Kitchen regulations

Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu, and following food health and safety procedures.
• Cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff and deliver food in a fast-paced environment.
• Work may include operating a grill, oven, or fryer.
