Job summary

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba invites applications for a casual Chef role, supporting a busy, high-volume kitchen in a caring, aged-care setting. You’ll work with a dedicated team to deliver meals that are nutritious, appetising and presented with care, helping to create a welcoming dining experience for residents and staff.

To succeed, you’ll hold a trade qualification in commercial cookery, current Food Safety Supervisor certificate, and experience in managing dietary requirements,

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Commercial cookery and experience in fine dining or hotels (preferred).
• Current FSS Certificate (Food Safety Supervisor).
• Roster management and working within approved budget while the head chef is away.
• Experience in aged care facility or bistro/hotel; five years or more (desirable).
• Ability to lead under pressure and work in a multidisciplinary team.

As a Chef you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent’s Care Services Werribee.

St Vincent’s Care Services Werribee is a contemporary boutique aged care facility, providing a high-quality haven of care within the centrally-located Wyndham Health Precinct. It is an 80 bed facility located 30km south-west of Melbourne's city centre.

High volume cooking experience

Flexibility to manage special dietary requirements

Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene standards
