Task & responsibilities We are currently seeking a qualified and experiencedChef to join our kitchen team on a fulltime basis. The Chef will oversee all components of food production to ensure the provision and delivery of high quality, safe and nutritious meals for YDHS residents, patients and consumers.

They will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the kitchen and ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained to the specified standard. The Chef is responsible to complete all food production daily tasks within the given time frames. Lead food production to ensure the food is prepared as per YDHS’ food preparation requirements for quality and freshness.

Ensure all food produced is nutritious and well presented. Actively seek feedback from our Residents/Clients/Patients during meal service times. Deliver menus within budgetary parameters.

Ensure all meals are produced on time, and correct quantities are available for the various areas/locations. Accurately complete documentation pertaining to food safety standards for the patients and residents of YDHS. Provide a high-quality service to patients and residents that reflect best practice and adds value to YDHS.

Assist with Quality Improvement Programs. Maintain confidentiality in relation to patients, residents and staff members. Follow all policies and procedures of the Health Service Work as part of a client focused team.

Quality recording keeping for compliance. Qualification & experience To be considered for this opportunity, you will have: A relevant Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma or equivalent.

Demonstrable experience in all responsibilities shown above. Hold or be willing to obtain an accredited Safe Food Handlers certificate. To have the ability to cope with rapidly changing circumstances and quickly grasp new concepts.

Ensure familiarity with the expected standards of performance in the role and actively contribute to own personal development. Ability to confront and deal with issues as they arise. Ability to motivate individuals and a team.

Effective time management skills. Experience in successfully coordinating work priorities for yourself and others. Excellent communication skills to liaise with residents, colleagues, patients and clients.
