Job summary

UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families – BlueCare Toowoomba Aged Care Facility is seeking a professional Chef for a full-time role in Toowoomba. You will prepare, cook and serve meals in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards.

You’ll support senior staff with menu design, uphold quality and SOPs, and bring 3+ years of chef experience with a relevant trade qualification. Weekend availability may be required.

About the role

Prepare,cookand serve food in adherence with dietary requirements with a strong focus onfood safety standards.

Support senior hospitality staff members with menu design and implementation,

Promote quality standards andmaintainservice with standard operating procedures.

Role requirements

As aChef,you’lltake pride in your presentation, be knowledgeable in relation to nutrition and have a keen interest on the impact of dietary requirements on our aged residents.

You will have proven experience in safe food preparation, storage and delivery, a clear understanding of WHS, be confident in medium-high volume meal preparation anddemonstratethe following:

Hold a relevant trade qualification Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Australia) or above

Have 3 years minimum experience as a qualified Chef

Great communicationskills and excellent attention to detail

Understanding of Australian food and beverage standards

Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
