Job summary

BlueCare in Elanora Pineshaven Aged Care Facility is seeking a Chef to prepare, cook and serve meals in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards.

The role involves permanent full-time work, Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, with a remuneration of AUD 31.44 per hour plus Super and Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging; 3 years' experience and a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery are preferred.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Australia) or higher.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Chef.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Australian food and beverage standards.
• Willingness to complete probity checks as required by policy.

• Prepare, cook and serve food in adherence with dietary requirements with a strong focus on food safety standards.
• Support senior hospitality staff members with menu design and implementation,

Role Requirements

As a Chef, you’ll take pride in your presentation, be knowledgeable in relation to nutrition and have a keen interest on the impact of dietary requirements on our aged residents.

You Will Have Proven Experience In Safe Food Preparation, Storage And Delivery, a Clear Understanding Of WHS, Be Confident In Medium-high Volume Meal Preparation And Demonstrate The Following

• Hold a relevant trade qualification Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Australia) or above
• Have 3 years minimum experience as a qualified Chef
• Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
• Understanding of Australian food and beverage standards
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
