Job summary

Red Chilli Perth Pty Ltd in Perth is seeking a motivated Chef to prepare and cook a variety of lunch and restaurant-style dishes, while upholding high standards of quality, presentation and food safety. • Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of lunch and restaurant-style dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and food safety.

Key responsibilities

Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of restaurant-style dishes.

Preparing ingredients, sauces, stocks and other food components.

Following recipes and maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.

Monitoring food preparation and cooking processes to ensure timely service.

Assisting with menu planning and developing new and seasonal dishes.

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and receiving supplies.

Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety.

Ensuring food is stored, prepared and handled in accordance with food safety requirements.

Working effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.

Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas.

About you

Relevant commercial cookery qualifications and/or at least one year of relevant industry experience.

Previous experience working as a Chef in a café, restaurant or similar commercial kitchen.

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety standards.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.

Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends where required.
