Job summary

XS Espresso in Bennetts Green, NSW is seeking an experienced Chef to join our café kitchen. You will prepare and present menu items, support menu development, supervise kitchen operations and ensure food safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires minimum 3 years experience as a Chef, strong culinary skills, teamwork and the ability to work under pressure. We offer a competitive salary of AU$80,000–$85,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Select ingredients and monitor food inventory to maintain freshness, quality and compliance with food safety standards.
• Modify recipes where required to accommodate dietary requirements, seasonal ingredient availability or customer preferences.
• Oversee and train kitchen assistants and support staff to maintain efficient, safe and coordinated kitchen operations.
• Ensure all food handling, preparation and storage activities comply with hygiene regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Customize, develop, refine dishes and special offerings suited to the XS Espresso dining concept.
• Minimise food waste and support cost-effective kitchen practices while maintaining service speed and food quality in a fast-paced café environment.

Position Overview
