Job summary

Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Chef to join our catering team on a casual basis. You will provide high standards of meal preparation and cooking, operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy, and deliver excellent service to staff, clients and patients.

The successful candidate will hold a chef qualification from a recognised training provider, have good communication and customer service skills, and work well both independently and in a team.

We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.

We also havea cardiac suite includinga cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
