Job summary

Bolton Clarke is seeking a dedicated Cook for Sutton Park, a 110-bed aged care facility in Melton South, VIC. You will deliver nutritious, well-presented meals and support the Chef with kitchen operations.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) and at least 1 year in a commercial kitchen; bulk cooking and texture-modified meals experience are highly valued. Strong communication with residents and colleagues is essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher) required.
• At least 1 year in a commercial kitchen; aged care or hospital experience preferred.
• Bulk cooking experience is highly desirable.
• Experience preparing texture-modified meals is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and present delicious, well-balanced meals for residents.
• Take direction from the Chef and work collaboratively within the kitchen team.
• Assist with general food preparation, kitchen duties and stock control.
• Purchase and order food supplies and kitchen equipment as required.
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked and served in compliance with food safety standards and legislation.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to deliver high-quality food services to our residents while providing kitchen and food preparation support to our Chef. This role is essential in ensuring nutritious, well-presented meals that meet the diverse needs of Residents in our care.

Key Responsibilities

• Take direction from the Chef and work collaboratively within the kitchen team
• Plan, prepare, and present delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals for residents
• Assist with general food preparation, kitchen duties, and stock control
• Purchase and order food supplies and kitchen equipment as required
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and served in compliance with relevant legislation and food safety standards

About You

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
• A minimum of one year’s experience in a commercial kitchen (aged care or hospital experience preferred)
• Bulk cooking experience (highly desirable)
• Experience preparing texture-modified meals (advantageous)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
