Job summary

Contemporary Catering is a family-owned catering provider serving aged care facilities across Victoria and NSW. We are seeking a motivated Part-Time Chef to support Chef Managers at two aged care sites in Clarinda and Mordialloc, Melbourne.

You will assist with daily meal production, ensure high quality and dietary compliance, and help maintain food safety and efficient kitchen operations. You will work alongside kitchen teams to deliver nutritious, delicious meals while upholding hygiene

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial kitchens, especially in aged care is preferred.
• Knowledge of modified texture meals and special dietary requirements.
• Familiarity with food safety legislation and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high-quality meals in line with menus and recipes.
• Support site Chef Managers with daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure meals meet residents' dietary requirements and safety standards.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and reducing food waste.
• Work with kitchen teams to ensure smooth service and dining experience.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Part-Time Chef to support our Chef Managers across two aged care sites in Clarinda and Mordialloc.

Working closely with the kitchen teams, you will assist with daily meal production, maintain high food quality standards and help ensure residents enjoy nutritious, delicious meals that meet their individual dietary requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Prepare and deliver high-quality meals in accordance with menus and recipes.

Support the Chef Managers with daily kitchen operations.

Ensure meals meet residents' dietary requirements, including modified texture meals.

Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.

Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste.

Work collaboratively with kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.

Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.

What You Will Bring

Experience in commercial kitchens, preferably within aged care.
