NAT & US PTY. LTD trading as Agapi Greek, Taprodane Taste of Ceylon and Nunu Fusion Thai is seeking a dynamic chef to join our culinary team full-time at 179 King William Rd, Hyde Park SA. The role offers $80,000 per annum plus superannuation, with opportunities to develop skills and lead kitchen operations.

You will plan menus, monitor quality, and ensure hygiene standards while working in a busy kitchen environment. Relevant trade qualifications and at least 1 year of experience are required.

Qualifications

• To be successful you will have a trade qualification and at least 1 year of experience in a kitchen.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
• Preparing and cooking food
• Ensuring hygiene regulations are followed
• May select and train staff
• May freeze and preserve foods

This position provides a great opportunity for a chef looking to develop their skills to further.You will ensure tasks assigned are carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard and within food hygiene guidelines.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Relevant Trade qualification plus Minimum of 1 years’ experience
• A passion for the food and beverage industry and a willingness to succeed in it
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team in a busy kitchen environment
• Good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to be able to multi task
