Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Charge Up Operator for underground blasting duties at Agnew. You’ll charge development and production rounds, handle explosives safely, and conduct pre/post-blast inspections while maintaining equipment and reporting issues.

Qualifications

• Substantial underground mining experience in Charge Up or Service crew.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
• A proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
• Able to work in a team in physically demanding underground environment.
• WA Shotfirer's license
• WA Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights
• WA Driver's Licence (C Class)

The Opportunity

As a Charge Up Operator, you'll be responsible for charging development and production blasts, handling and transporting explosives, maintaining underground firing lines and carrying out shot-firing duties to strict compliance and safety standards.

Reporting to the Supervisor Underground Production, you'll join a high-performing crew that plays a vital role in underground blast readiness.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Substantial underground mining experience (Charge Up or Service crew exposure highly regarded, as well as use of emulsion and ANFO in blasting)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• A proactive attitude with a commitment to working safely
• Able to work effectively in a team in a physically demanding underground environment
• WA Shotfirer's license
• Valid manual C Class Driver's Licence
• WA Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights
