Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking a Charge Up Operator to join the underground blasting team at Agnew, FIFO from Perth. You will be responsible for charging development and production blasts, handling explosives, and upholding strict safety standards.

Reporting to the Supervisor Underground Production, you’ll contribute to blast readiness with a high-performing crew. This is a specialised, permanent role offering strong career progression within a leading gold producer.

Qualifications

• Substantial underground mining experience with charge up or service crew exposure is highly regarded.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a team in a physically demanding underground environment.
• WA Shotfirer’s license (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid manual C Class Driver’s Licence.
• WA Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights.

Responsibilities

• Charge development and production rounds.
• Safely handle and transport explosives in line with regulations.
• Tie up and prepare blasts safely and accurately.
• Conduct pre- and post-blast inspections.
• Maintain equipment and report issues.
• Work collaboratively with underground crew and uphold safety standards.
