Job summary

The University of Melbourne invites a high-impact HR Change and Communications professional to lead practical change programs across Employment Compliance, partnering with HR, faculties and portfolios to clarify workforce expectations and strengthen policy practice.

You will design engaging communications, training and web content, build trusted stakeholder relationships and contribute to briefs, reports and submissions on compliance issues to uplift staff capability.

Qualifications

  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Change, Communications, HR, business or similar, and bring substantial related experience.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of Prosci , HR policies, procedures, legislation and enterprise agreements, ideally within higher education.
  • Proven experience using SharePoint, Canva, MS365 Copilot and WorkDay .
  • Offer proven experience designing and delivering complex change programs in large, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Apply strong problem-solving and critical thinking to translate complex issues into clear, practical guidance for staff.
  • Excel at stakeholder engagement, building trust and finding common ground with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Thrive working both independently and collaboratively, contributing to strategic projects that uplift organisational capability.

  • Research change management methodologies, employment and sector trends, gather data and contribute to briefings, reports and submissions on compliance related issues.

Salary: UOM 7: $111,275 - $120,453 p.a. plus 17% super

In this role, you will lead practical change programs that clarify workforce expectations across the University.
