Job summary

Chadstone Bowls Club is seeking an experienced playing coach for the 2026-27 season to lead and grow our pennant teams across all levels. The role includes running training sessions, developing bowlers both individually and in groups, and expanding coaching capabilities within the club.

You will also assist with player recruitment and selectors, while maintaining high playing standards to contribute to our Division 1 ambitions. Contact Steve Lister for details; applications close May 3.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication & leadership skills.

• Accredited bowls coach or an experienced coach/player who is happy to gain accreditation.
• Maintain playing performance to a standard required to play in our top Saturday side.

Job description

Chadstone Bowls Club is seeking expressions of interest for the role of playing coach for season 2026-27.

We are a small, successful, community-based club with a strong, vibrant culture, a world-class covered Tigerturf green, and state of the art clubrooms. In the 2025-26 season we fielded four Weekend, two Midweek, and one 7-a-side pennant sides plus a Tuesday night side – and ended the season with 4 section wins.

In 2026-27 our top side on Saturday will be in Division 1, while on Tuesday we compete in Division 2.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate playing-coach who wants to be part of developing and growing our playing group across all levels, and driving our pennant success.

You will be responsible for;

• Implementing and running a coaching program which includes facilitating training sessions for our pennant teams
• Provide individual and group development across our bowling members and potential new bowlers
• Broaden and develop our coaching capability across the club
• Assist with player recruitment & selectors
• Engaging and open communication with players, selectors and the Committee
