Job summary

EnergyCo NSW, the Energy Corporation of NSW, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial functions, strategy, budgets and performance. This permanent role reports to the CEO and requires delivering high-quality financial management, reporting and compliance across EnergyCo NSW and its programs as part of the NSW Government’s electricity infrastructure agenda.

The CFO will manage a team, engage with senior executives and external stakeholders, and ensure robust financial planning

Qualifications

• Member of a recognised professional accounting body such as Chartered Accountants Australia & NZ or Certified Practising Accountants Australia.
• Experience in developing long-term financial projections, budgets, cashflow management and project reporting.
• Experience applying NSW Government financial legislation and Australian Accounting Standards in public sector context.

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial strategy, budgets and financial performance for EnergyCo NSW.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with public sector financial policies and governance frameworks.
