Job summary

Queensland Government seeks a Director, Corporate Services / Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to lead governance, finance, facilities, procurement and IT as part of the Senior Management Team. You will coordinate complex programs, oversee statutory reporting, and engage external stakeholders to support good governance across the Office.

Qualifications

• You must hold at least one of the following qualifications to be appointed to this position: CPA Australia certification; Chartered Accountant (ANZ); or MIPA/FIPA membership.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic direction and corporate performance as a Senior Management Team member.
• Lead and manage finance, governance, facilities, procurement and IT teams to plan, implement and improve corporate activity.
• Oversee budget preparation, financial reporting, statutory returns and liaise with auditors and Queensland Treasury.
• Provide authoritative advice on financial management, governance, IT and compliance, including risk implications.
• Model high standards of integrity and ethics and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Lead development and implementation of major projects/policies aligned with legislation and strategic goals.
• Prepare reports and submissions on complex issues and coach team members.
• Represent the Office in engagements with central agencies, peers, suppliers, unions and staff.
• Adhere to the Office Code of Conduct, safety policies and confidentiality requirements.
