Job summary

The client is a high-growth software business seeking a senior finance leader to own the finance function and partner with a dynamic CFO and Executive Leadership team.

You will lead a team of 4, deliver month-end close, board reporting, budgeting and forecasts, and ensure governance and controls are robust while driving strategic initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in senior finance roles.
• Experience in software, IT services or technology is highly favourable.
• CA qualified with Chartered background.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end processes including P&L reviews, balance sheet and cash flows.
• Prepare monthly management/board reporting with analysis and commentaries.
• Statutory reporting and tax compliance.
• Own FP&A and develop annual budgets and robust forecasts.
• Collaborate with the CFO on strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
• Oversee corporate governance and internal controls.
• Provide decision support and commercial insights to the business.
• Drive transformation projects and process improvements.

The Role

Reporting to the Group CFO, you will manage a team of 4 and own the finance function with responsibilities including:

• Full ownership and presentation of month end results including P&L reviews, Balance Sheet and Cash Flows
• Preparation of monthly management/board reporting packages with detailed analysis and commentaries
• Statutory reporting and Tax Compliance
• Ownership of the FP&A function and working closely with the business in developing annual budgets and robust forecasts
• Working closely with the CFO in developing strategic initiatives and focussing on long term planning for the business
• Implementation and oversight of Corporate Governance and Internal Controls
• Providing decision support and commercial insights to the business
• Play an active role in transformation projects and process improvements

About You

• Minimum of 10 years experience, ideally currently working as an established Senior Finance Manager, FC or Head of Finance
• CA qualified and preferably you will have started your career in a Chartered environment (Business Services, Audit or Outsourced CFO)
• First Movers at the Senior Manager/Director level will also be considered
• Experience in implementing best practice finance processes, internal controls and frameworks
• Exposure working within Small to Mid – Capped businesses will be held in high regard
• Experience working in Software, IT Services or Technology will be seen as highly favourable
