Our client, Treadwell Group Pty Ltd - t/a Treadwell, seeks a qualified Motor Mechanic for its Plympton workshop in South Australia. The role involves diagnostics, servicing and repairs across light vehicles, with emphasis on safety, quality control and timely completion of tasks.

The successful candidate will work in a professional team, use modern diagnostic tools, and support workshop operations while adhering to workplace standards.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 12 months hands-on experience in automotive servicing and mechanical repair.
• Demonstrate strong capability diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults across petrol and diesel light vehicles.
• Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools, scanning equipment and automotive repair software.
• Awareness of workplace safety, environmental compliance and quality control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manual inspection and diagnostic equipment.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions, steering, braking and suspension components.
• Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, oil changes and engine tune-ups.
• Test and adjust repaired components to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate servicing records and communicate findings to workshop personnel.
• Assist apprentices and junior mechanics with repair tasks as needed.
