Qualifications

• Proven experience in a certification, compliance, or quality assurance role
• Knowledge of certification standards and regulatory requirements
• Proficient in record-keeping and data management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with certification management software or quality management systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Process and manage certification applications and documentation in accordance with established standards and procedures
• Review technical documentation and verify compliance with relevant certification requirements and industry regulations
• Conduct thorough quality checks on certification materials and maintain detailed records of all assessments and decisions
• Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify information, resolve queries and ensure timely completion of certification processes
• Maintain accurate databases and filing systems, ensuring all certification records are properly organised and easily retrievable
• Prepare certification reports and correspondence for clients, ensuring clarity and compliance with company standards
• Monitor certification validity periods and manage renewal processes to ensure continuous compliance
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems within the certification function

Australian QC is a JAS-ANZ accredited ISO/IEC 17065 certification body and NDIS Approved Quality Auditor, expanding its certification services and accreditation scope.

Australian QC is seeking experienced Certification Specialists to join our team in Hoppers Crossing, VIC. This is a full-time/Casual position that plays a vital role in our certification and compliance operations. As a Certification Specialist, you will be responsible for managing certification processes, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. This role is essential to supporting our clients' compliance needs and upholding the integrity of our certification services. You will work on-site in our Hoppers Crossing office, collaborating with a dedicated team committed to excellence in quality assurance and certification delivery.

Employment type: Full-time/Casual
Probationary period: Six months
Remuneration: Negotiable, based on qualifications, experience and Australian QC’s internal salary structure, plus statutory superannuation
Reports to: Business Admin Manager
Day-to-day direction: Certification Specialist – Coordination

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage certification applications and documentation in accordance with established standards and procedures

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a certification, compliance, or quality assurance role, ideally within an accredited certification body or similar regulated environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple certification applications simultaneously with accuracy
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills with proficiency in record-keeping and data management
• Knowledge of relevant certification standards and regulatory requirements within your area of expertise
• Proficient use of office software and databases, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex certification requirements clearly to clients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to meeting deadlines
• High level of integrity and professional conduct, particularly when handling confidential certification information
• Preferred: Experience with certification management software or quality management systems
• Preferred: Knowledge of ISO standards or other internationally recognised certification frameworks
