Job summary

Our client on the Gold Coast, Queensland, is seeking a Quality Control Officer to join their manufacturing team. You will support ISO 9001 compliance, conduct inspections, and drive continuous improvement with a data-driven approach to root-cause analysis.

The role requires 2+ years in manufacturing, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. You will work closely with Quality and Production teams to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 9001 required.
• Experience in internal auditing or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of quality control procedures and production standards.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency, reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct inspections and audits of production processes, materials, components and finished products to identify issues or non-conformances.
• Support maintaining certification to ISO 9001 across the business.
• Provide ongoing oversight of quality awareness and control within Production.
• Investigate production-related quality issues and assist in corrective actions.
• Document and report quality findings with traceability and accountability.
• Undertake regular quality audits on production activities and equipment in line with procedures.
• Ensure inspection, measuring and test equipment is calibrated or verified.
• Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

Our client, a well-established Australian manufacturer of engineered mechanical equipment and attachments, is looking for a Quality Control Officer to join their team in Gold Coast, QLD.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with proven experience in product inspection, strong knowledge of regulatory standards, and a data-driven approach to root-cause problem-solving. This role supports the management and compliance of ISO 9001 standards across the business and helps drive continuous improvement throughout operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance with quality standards and regulations
• Conduct inspections and audits of production processes, materials, components, and finished products to identify quality issues, defects, or non-conformances
• Support the Quality team in maintaining certification to ISO 9001
• Provide ongoing oversight of quality awareness and control within Production
• Support the Quality team and other personnel in investigating production-related quality issues, both internal and external
• Document and report quality findings, deviations, and corrective actions; maintain accurate records, logs, and inspection reports for traceability and accountability
• Undertake regular quality audits on the integrity and implementation of production activities, including equipment used and product preservation, in line with company procedures
• Assist the Quality team in ensuring inspection, measuring, and test equipment is suitably calibrated or verified
• Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business

Key Requirements

• Experience with ISO 9001 required
• Experience in internal auditing, quality, or a related field essential
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of quality control procedures and relevant production standards
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing business requirements
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Good working knowledge of manufacturing principles
• Background in machinery design, fabrication, or engineered equipment manufacturing
• Exposure to the automotive or mining equipment industries
