Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking permanent part-time Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader (Cert IV) at Bishop Tyrell Place in Cundletown to join a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care homes.

You will lead and mentor a care team under supervision, ensuring appropriate allocation of staff to Resident care needs and effective orientation of new employees, while supporting team members in all aspects of their work.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent.
• Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain.
• Ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to accurately document residents' care/progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a care team under supervision, ensuring appropriate allocation of skilled team members to Resident care needs.
• Administer medication under the delegation and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Contribute to the clinical care of consumers including maintenance of clinical records.

Newcastle Anglican are seeking permanent part-time Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader (Cert IV) to join our team at Bishop Tyrell Place in Cundletown. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care homes. Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a care team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Residential Care Manager, ensuringappropriate allocation of skilled team members to Resident care needs and effective orientating and 'buddying' of new employees, supporting team members in all aspects of their work,
• Administer medication under the delegation and supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Contribute to the clinical care of consumers including maintenance of clinical records.

About you?
