Job description

Are you looking for an awesome place to work, where you can proudly be your authentic self, and be part of #oneteam?

We are looking for a passionate team player who aligns with our values and culture, takes pride in their unique contributions, and can challenge the status quo with disruptive thinking. If this sounds like you, come and join us!

The CEO Executive Assistant provides dedicated, high-trust support to the Chief Executive Officer, enabling the CEO to focus on enterprise leadership, strategic priorities and the relationships that matter most to Vocus.

The role operates at the centre of Vocus in a complex, commercially disciplined and fast-moving environment, with significant infrastructure, customer and stakeholder considerations. It requires exceptional judgement, discretion, pace, organisational discipline and comfort working through ambiguity.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working close to enterprise decision-making, balancing structure with adaptability and bringing sound judgement to matters that are often sensitive, time-critical or commercially important.

Whatyou’llbe doing day-to-day
  • Own the CEO’s complex diary, ensuring the CEO’s time, attention and energy are aligned to the highest enterprise priorities
  • Triage requests and information with sound judgement, escalating urgent or sensitive matters and redirecting activity where appropriate
  • Anticipate upcoming decisions, commitments, stakeholder needs and pressure points, ensuring the CEO has the right context, materials and sequencing to be effective
  • Work constructively with the ELT, Executive Assistants and other relevant stakeholders to support alignment of the CEO’s priorities, operating rhythm, key actions and stakeholder commitments
  • Coordinate travel, expenses and logistical arrangements, including detailed itineraries and contingency planning
  • Support the ELT operating rhythm, including coordination of agendas, briefing materials, actions and follow-through, in line with agreed priorities, ways of working and role scope
  • Support the preparation, consolidation and quality-checking of correspondence, presentations, briefing notes and Board-related materials where required
  • Support a connected and effective EA community by helping maintain shared context, information flow, coverage awareness and practical alignment across the cohort.
Whatyou’llbring to this role
  • Extensive experience supporting a CEO, C-suite executive or comparable senior leader in a complex, fast-paced corporate environment, with exposure to Board, shareholder, investor or ownership-related stakeholders highly regarded
  • Experience working in a privately held, transformation, infrastructure, technology, professional services or similarly fast-paced ownership environment highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to support a high-volume, complex executive environment with competing priorities, confidentiality and frequent change
  • Exceptional judgement, discretion and organisational awareness, with confidence handling highly sensitive business and people matters
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive correspondence, briefings and presentations
  • Strong understanding of executive governance and experience supporting ELT or Board-related processes
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Teams, with sound Excel skills and confidence using technology to improve executive workflows
  • Exceptional planning, prioritisation and attention to detail, combined with the ability to maintain pace under pressure
  • Demonstrated initiative, resilience and problem-solving capability, with the maturity to remain practical, calm and solutions-focused when priorities shift quickly.
