PIRTEK in Port Hedland is seeking a Centre Technician to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service and perform plant and machinery repairs in our busy workshop.

You will be part of a team serving customers over the counter and handling sales enquiries by phone, with a strong focus on faultless service and practical problem solving.

Ideally you have a mechanical background and a trade certificate, plus willingness to relocate to Port Hedland to grow your rewarding career.

Qualifications

• A mechanical background is required.
• Trade certificate and/or hydraulics experience highly regarded.
• Strong verbal and written communication and numerical skills.
• Organized and reliable, with a team player attitude.
• Ability to think on your feet and solve problems under pressure.
• Willingness to relocate to Port Hedland.

The Role

As one of our Centre Technicians, you will be expected to deliver consistent, accurate, high quality customer service and plant & machinery repair work to our customers. The job will challenge you to provide solutions and build relationships with a variety of customer types. This is a hands on role in our fast paced workshop.

As one of our Centre Technicians, you will be part of a team serving customers over the counter, taking sales enquiries over the phone and providing the highest standard of customer service which we all pride ourselves on giving.

• A mechanical background

Previous hose assembly experience is not essential; however, you will ideally have:

• A trade certificate and / or previous experience within the Hydraulics industry being highly regarded
• A strong understanding of and a commitment to faultless customer service
• Strong verbal and written communication and numerical skills
• Organized and reliable, with a team player attitude
• An underlying level of urgency balanced with strict attention to detail
• The ability to think on your feet and solve problems under pressure
• A readiness to uproot and relocate to Port Hedland
