Job summary

Vicinity is seeking a security leader to oversee Northland Shopping Centre's safety, security and preparedness, including training, scenario testing and incident response.

You will manage the contracted security provider, drive incident reporting and improvements, build strong relationships with retailers and emergency services, and participate in the centre leadership roster as Chief Warden on weekends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in security operations or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, incident response, emergency response planning and modern security threat management practices.
• Experience working with CCTV platforms, access control systems and incident management systems.
• Desirable: experience in high-foot-traffic environments and collaboration with law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Lead security and emergency preparedness across Northland Shopping Centre, including training, scenario testing and incident response activities.
• Manage and influence the performance of the contracted security provider, ensuring compliance with standards and service expectations.
• Oversee security incident reporting, investigations, trend analysis and corrective actions.
• Build strong relationships with retailers, police, emergency services and other stakeholders.
• Participate in the centre leadership roster as Chief Warden during weekend coverage.
