Job summary

Vicinity Centres is seeking a Security Risk Manager to lead Colonnades Shopping Centre's security and emergency readiness. You will partner with centre teams, retailers and external agencies to deliver a safe environment for customers and staff.

In this role, you will oversee contractor performance, drive incident reporting and trend analysis, and participate in leadership rosters as Chief Warden on weekends.

Qualifications

• Essential: 5+ years' experience in security operations or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, incident response, emergency response planning and modern security threat management practices.
• Experience working with CCTV platforms, access control systems and incident management systems.
• Desirable: Experience within complex, high-foot-traffic environments such as shopping centres, transport hubs, venues, healthcare or similar settings.
• Desirable: Established relationships or experience working closely with local law enforcement and emergency services stakeholders.

• Manage and influence the performance of the contracted security provider, ensuring compliance with operational standards, training requirements and service expectations.

• Build strong relationships with retailers, Victoria Police, emergency services, community groups and other key stakeholders.
• Participate in the centre leadership roster, including a 6-and-4 roster pattern and acting as Chief Warden during rostered weekend coverage.

Role purpose

Play a pivotal leadership role in keeping Colonnades Shopping Centre safe, secure and prepared. As Security Risk Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for security and emergency management, partnering with centre teams, retailers, security providers and external agencies to deliver a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who visits the centre.

About You

You're a security professional who combines operational expertise, stakeholder engagement and calm decision-making to deliver strong security and emergency management outcomes.
