Job summary

Michael Clarke Recreation Centre, proudly managed by Belgravia Leisure, seeks a Centre Manager to lead the team, deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive operational excellence for a busy community facility.

You will collaborate with Liverpool Council, manage budgets, develop staff, ensure safety and compliance, and grow programs across the health club and indoor stadium with a strong local impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a leisure or aquatic facility
• Strong communication and negotiating skills
• Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Experience planning and executing operational, financial and people plans
• Current CPR Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
• National Police Check
• NSW Working with Children Check
• Legal working rights in Australia

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well‑being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of policies, processes and procedures
• Coach and develop leaders to deliver on KPIs through engagement, performance planning and development plans
• Lead and drive a high performance community‑minded culture through hands‑on leadership and team engagement
• Achieve budgeted performance targets
• Maintain a high‑value relationship with Liverpool City Council
• Implement a high‑value customer service proposition addressing client needs
• Recruit energetic, diverse and passionate employees to complement the team
• Train staff to ensure knowledge and capability meet objectives
• Identify staff and develop career progression paths for transparent succession decisions
• Maintain facilities to contract standards
