Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a skilled Centre Manager to lead Michael Clarke Recreation Centre, delivering exceptional customer experience and operational excellence. You will steer the team, manage the centre’s financial performance, and engage with Liverpool Council to support community outcomes.

You will guide leaders, drive safety and service standards, and implement plans across operations, people and programs to sustain growth and community impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a leisure or aquatic facility.
• Strong communication skills with positive influencing and negotiation.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2).
• National Police Check.
• NSW Working with Children Check.
• Legal working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of visitors and staff through policies and procedures.
• Coach and develop leaders to achieve KPIs with development plans.
• Lead a high-performance community-minded culture through visible leadership and engagement.
• Achieve budgeted performance targets.
• Maintain a strong relationship with Liverpool City Council.
• Deliver a high-value customer service proposition for clients.
• Recruit and onboard energetic, diverse staff to fit the Centre vision.
• Train staff to ensure knowledge and capability meets objectives.
• Identify staff and develop career progression paths for succession planning.
• Maintain facilities to approved standards per contract requirements.
