Job summary

Early Years Talent is seeking a confident Centre Director/Manager to lead a vibrant and busy early learning centre in Melbourne. You will guide a team of educators to deliver high-quality outcomes for children and families, leveraging strong communication and leadership to create a positive centre culture.

The role requires a Diploma in Child Services (or higher) with 1–2 years of Centre Manager experience, and you will work in a well-supported environment with access to head-office resources

Qualifications

• Diploma in Child Services (or higher).
• Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS; ability to develop a QIP.
• Outstanding verbal and non-verbal communication; leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a busy early learning centre with a focus on delivering high quality outcomes for educators, children and families.
• Engage, persuade, and motivate a team of passionate educators.
• Collaborate with families and the wider community to build positive relationships.
• Ensure recruitment, finance, compliance and operations support from the head office is leveraged to focus on the team and families.

The service is centrally located, close to public transport, and is home to less than 130 children when at full occupancy. The centre is unwavering in delivering top-tier early childhood education and care. The non-negotiables

• Diploma in Child Services (or higher)
• Minimum of 1-2 years continuous experience as a Centre Manager
• Strong knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS), ability to develop a QIP
• Experience in participating inAssessments and Ratings with positive outcomes
• Outstanding level of verbal and non-verbal communication
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with families and the wider community
• Strong organisational and time management skills
