Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning Seymour VIC is seeking a casual Cook to prepare delicious, healthy meals for children, ensuring dietary needs and allergies are accommodated. You will plan menus, order supplies with the Centre Director, and uphold strict food safety standards to support daily care.

Qualifications include Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or childcare cooking experience, plus a current Victoria Working with Children Check. Training completion via Geccko platform may be required.

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or experience cooking within a childcare setting.
• Current Victoria Working with Children Check.
• Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed via Geccko platform.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies.
• Plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director.
• Maintain high standards of food safety through proper storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks.
