Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning in Andergrove is seeking a caring Cook to prepare delicious, healthy meals that fuel children’s growth and daily activities. This part‑time role supports our community with quality food and a safe, welcoming environment.

You’ll plan menus with the Centre Director, handle groceries, and uphold strict food safety standards. We offer above‑award pay, 50% gap-fee discounts, and a range of staff benefits in a warm, family‑oriented centre.

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or childcare cooking experience.
• Current QLD Working with Children Check is required.
• A passion for healthy meals and food safety.

Pay: $31.39 - $35.44 per hour + Benefits + Super

As a Cook at Goodstart, you'll create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of our community. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in shaping the daily experiences of the children in our care.

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals to account for special dietary requirements and allergies
• Use your creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
• Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic
