Job description

Full Time | Latitude 32 Wines | Pokolbin, Hunter Valley

Turn your passion for wine into a career.

At Latitude 32 Wines, we're looking for someone who wants more than just a cellar door job.

We're searching for someone who genuinely loves wine and wants to immerse themselves in every aspect of a modern winery. This is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the complete wine journey from vineyard to winery to cellar door.

Whether you already work in hospitality, have experience in a winery or cellar door, or you're studying wine and looking to build practical industry experience, we'd love to hear from you.

About Latitude 32

Latitude 32 is one of the Hunter Valley's newest and most exciting wineries.

We don't believe wine needs to be intimidating or trapped in tradition. We create exceptional wines and memorable experiences for today's wine drinker.

From award-winning Hunter Valley wines to innovative food and wine experiences, we're helping redefine what a modern winery can be.

Our philosophy is simple:

Fun with Serious Intent.

About the role

No two months in this role look the same.

Your work will evolve throughout the year as the vineyard and winery move through the seasons.

For much of the year you'll divide your time between our cellar door and the winery. During vintage you'll work alongside our winemaker, experiencing one of the most exciting and rewarding times of the winemaking calendar.

Outside vintage you'll continue working across the winery preparing wines for bottling, assisting with bottling operations, packaging, quality control, cellar hygiene and general winery operations.

You'll also spend time in the vineyard throughout the year, gaining an understanding of how great wine begins long before it reaches the bottle.

Weekend work in our cellar door is an essential part of this role, where you'll create memorable guest experiences and share your passion for wine with visitors from around Australia.

Because wine doesn't operate on a Monday-to-Friday schedule, we're looking for someone who enjoys the changing rhythm of the industry and is flexible to work with the seasonal demands of the business throughout the year.

What you’ll be doing
  • Hosting premium wine tastings and guest experiences
  • Wine sales and wine club memberships
  • Assisting with food and wine pairing experiences
  • Representing the Latitude 32 brand with enthusiasm and professionalism
Winery

Working alongside our winemaker you'll gain exposure to all aspects of winery operations, including:

  • Vintage operations and fruit receival
  • Barrel work and wine movements
  • Quality control and cellar hygiene
  • General winery and cellar operations
Vineyard

Throughout the year you'll also gain practical vineyard experience including:

  • Seasonal vineyard maintenance
  • Learning how vineyard decisions influence every bottle we produce
Who we’re looking for

The one thing we can’t teach is a genuine passion for wine.

We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys learning, takes pride in their work and wants to build a career in one of Australia’s most exciting industries.

2–3 years’ experience in hospitality, tourism, retail, cellar door or a related customer-facing role is preferred, but not essential.

Experience in wine is an advantage, but attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are even more important.

  • Weekend availability is essential
  • A genuine passion for wine
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Current NSW Forklift license or willing to obtain one
  • Current driver’s license
  • Physically capable of manual work in both the winery and vineyard
  • Flexibility to work varying hours during vintage and other peak seasonal periods
Why join Latitude 32?

Most roles in the wine industry only expose you to one part of the business.

At Latitude 32 you’ll experience the complete journey:

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learn directly from our winemaker, gain practical production experience, and help deliver memorable guest experiences at one of the Hunter Valley’s most exciting wineries.

This role is designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in the Australian wine industry. As your skills develop, so will your opportunities within Latitude 32. Whether your ambition is to become a winemaker, vineyard manager, cellar door leader, wine educator or simply deepen your knowledge of wine, we’ll invest in your development and provide hands-on experience that few wineries can offer.

If you’re looking for more than just a job, if you’re looking to build a career in wine, we’d love to hear from you.
