Job summary

Latitude 32 Wines in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley, is seeking an experienced Cellar Door Manager & Guest Experience Manager to lead our cellar door team, drive commercial performance and help build Latitude 32 into a must-do wine destination.

This leadership role focuses on creating memorable tasting experiences, coaching staff, rostering, managing stock, driving wine sales, bookings and Membership Club growth, and collaborating with marketing, winemaking and leadership to continually improve the

Cellar Door & Guest Experience Manager

Latitude 32 Wines | Pokolbin, Hunter Valley

This isn't a Cellar Door Host role. This is a leadership position.

Latitude 32 Wines is one of the Hunter Valley's fastest-growing wineries, built on exceptional wines, memorable experiences and doing things differently.

We're looking for an experienced Cellar Door Manager & Guest Experience Manager to lead our team, drive commercial performance and help build Latitude 32 into one of the Hunter Valley's must-do wine destinations.

If you're looking to simply open the doors at 10am and lock them at 5pm, this isn't the role for you.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership.

What you'll be responsible for

You’ll lead every aspect of the cellar door, including:

• Creating memorable tasting experiences for guests.

• Leading, coaching and developing the cellar door team.

• Recruiting, onboarding and performance managing staff.

• Preparing rosters and managing labour costs.

• Ordering stock and maintaining inventory.

• Ensuring the cellar door is fully prepared for each trading day not simply closed at the end of it.

• Continuously reviewing tasting flights, tasting notes and guest experiences to keep them fresh and engaging.

• Driving wine sales, experience bookings and Membership Club growth.

• Monitoring sales performance and identifying opportunities to improve results.

• Working closely with our marketing, winery and leadership teams to continually improve the business.

Work alongside our Winemaker

One of the unique aspects of this role is the opportunity to work directly with our Winemaker.

You’ll spend time with our winemaker learning about how the wines are made and providing customer feedback, helping shape tasting experiences and contributing valuable commercial insight into future wine styles and releases.

Together, you’ll help create experiences that make Latitude 32 a destination guests recommend to everyone.

You’re accountable for results

This is a management role with genuine commercial responsibility.

You’ll provide weekly reporting to the Directors covering:

• Cellar door sales performance.

• Membership Club growth.

• Guest feedback and Google reviews.

• Labour and stock performance.

• Team development.

• Recommendations to improve revenue, operations and the guest experience.

We're looking for someone who doesn't just identify problems but brings solutions.

About you

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous management experience in a cellar door, premium hospitality or tourism business.

• Proven experience leading and developing teams.

• Strong commercial awareness and leadership skills.

• Experience managing rosters, stock and daily operations.

• A passion for wine and creating memorable guest experiences.

• The confidence to make decisions and hold people accountable.

• A genuine desire to help grow a business, not simply manage one.
