Job summary

Sydney Adventist Hospital is seeking a friendly Ward Clerk to join our Coronary Care Unit (CCU) in Wahroonga, NSW. This part-time position supports day-to-day operations, coordinating administrative tasks and delivering exceptional service to patients and staff.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will handle enquiries, manage records, and assist with patient discharges, ensuring smooth unit flow in a 25-bed CCU. Australian healthcare context and hospital environment experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in clerical/admin support is essential.
• Healthcare setting experience is advantageous but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a range of administrative functions for the CCU.
• Manage enquiries and phone calls; maintain patient records.
• Order stock and supplies; process invoices.
• Liaise with doctors and clinical staff; support patient discharges.
