Job summary

Newcastle Private Hospital, part of Healthscope, is looking for a friendly Ward Clerk to join our Intensive Care team on a full-time basis.

You will manage a busy reception, coordinate radiology and other appointments, maintain medical records, perform health fund checks and data entry.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment.
• Ability to work within deadlines.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage a busy reception desk answering and redirecting calls.
• Organise Radiology and other appointments for patients.
• Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records.
• Perform Health Fund Checks as required.
• Data Entry
• Upload acute care certificates on WebPass.
