Job summary

The Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) is seeking a hands-on Station Leading Hand at Goonoo Feedlot & Station in the Central Highlands of Queensland. You will coordinate daily station activities, supervise mustering teams and oversee cattle handling and animal husbandry to meet production targets.

You will work closely with station leadership, maintain livestock records and support QA, safety and maintenance programs while mentoring junior staff in a remote agricultural operation.

Qualifications

• Experience on a cattle station, feedlot or similar livestock operation.
• Proven leadership with ability to train and support others.
• Knowledge of livestock welfare standards and QA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily station activities and communicate work priorities to achieve production targets.
• Organise and supervise mustering teams, livestock movements and animal husbandry programs with head stockperson.
• Oversee cattle handling practices and ensure safety, efficiency and animal welfare standards.
• Maintain accurate livestock records and reports; support maintenance and capital improvement programs.
