Job summary

AACo is seeking an experienced Station Manager to lead Canobie Station in Queensland. You will drive production targets, oversee budgets and capital works, and lead a team of 25–30 across breeding operations in a remote pastoral setting.

You’ll report to the Regional Manager and champion safety, animal welfare and land stewardship while delivering outstanding results for AACo’s northern production system.

Qualifications

• Leadership with experience managing large teams
• Budgeting and financial performance awareness
• Strong understanding of cattle production systems and welfare

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of 25–30 people
• Manage day-to-day station operations to deliver productivity, quality and profitability
• Oversee station budgets and financial performance
• Monitor cattle welfare, herd performance and feeding programs
• Prepare and report on weekly, monthly and annual station performance metrics
• Identify and deliver capital works and infrastructure improvements
• Ensure maintenance programs are delivered efficiently
• Drive safety and compliance across station activities
• Build relationships with suppliers, veterinarians, regulatory bodies and communities
