Job summary

Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited in Victoria seeks a full-time classroom teacher for a fixed-term 12-month contract in a collaborative team. The year level is yet to be determined.

The successful applicant will engage in professional learning experiences to grow and contribute to a Catholic school community, delivering inclusive curriculum while prioritising safety and wellbeing. Applicants must have VIT registration (or be eligible) and Accreditation to teach Religious Education;

Qualifications

• Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration)
• Evidence of the Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate
• Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment
• Commit to collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction and assessment
• Commit to respecting others and caring for the world that we live in

Responsibilities

• Provide a commitment to Catholic Education and to the safety, wellbeing and protection of children
• Provide students with a rich and engaging education experience
• Ensure the delivery of curriculum that reaches and engages students with a diverse range of educational abilities and backgrounds
• Commit to a collegial and collaborative approach to learning and teaching
