Job summary

Calvary Ryde Retirement Community is seeking a Care Support Worker - Catering on a casual basis to support residents' food preferences, ensure nutritious meals and accommodate dietary, cultural and religious needs.

Working with the Chef/Cook, you will prepare meals, maintain cleanliness and follow the National Food Safety Program, with benefits including NFP salary packaging and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal communication (written & verbal)
• Ability to prioritise workloads in a care setting
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Working knowledge of WHS and infection control practices
• Experience in food preparation and food safety desirable
• Food Handling Certificate desirable

Responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook.
• Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs including special dietary requirements, allergies and cultural specifics.
• Ensure environmental service standards are met and the resident environment remains clean and safe.
• Adhere to the National Food Safety Program and complete food safety records to prevent cross contamination.
