Job summary

Venues NSW is seeking a Catering Operations Officer to manage day-to-day catering delivery across our venues in NSW, including major stadiums and precincts. You will ensure high-quality food and beverage services, maintain strong customer service, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in large-scale events or multi-site catering, RSA accreditation, and eligibility to work in Australia. This role is based at venues in Sydney and surrounding areas.

• RSA accredited.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Responsibilities

Venues NSW is a commerically focused agency of the NSW Government, encompassing the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium as well as major sporting and cultural stadiums and precincts in Sydney, Olympic Park, Parramatta, Newcastle and Wollongong. The network of stadiums and entertainment centres host in excess of 5 million people a year at more than 500 events and is a key contributor to the economy.

About The Role

The Catering Operations Officer is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day delivery of catering operations to ensure high-quality food and beverage services across Venues NSW. The role provides exceptional customer service, works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, monitors operational requirements, maintains compliance with organisational policies and food safety standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The role also identifies and resolves routine operational issues, manages competing priorities, maintains accurate operational records, and contributes to the efficient delivery of catering services while upholding professionalism, integrity and organisational values.

About You

You will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, with demonstrated experience supporting catering or food and beverage operations. You will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and excellent communication abilities. You will have a proven ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, coordinate operational activities, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality catering services and positive business outcomes.
