Plate It Forward is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to organise stock, purchases and delivery coordination for our catering operations. Working with the Head Chef and drivers, you’ll ensure stock levels meet demand, orders are accurate and deliveries run smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in logistics or hospitality, strong organisation and communication skills, and a hands-on approach to stock control and purchasing. A valid Australian driver’s licence is required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in logistics, operations, inventory management or hospitality.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Clear communication and good customer service skills.
• Experience with stock control, purchasing or supplier coordination is an advantage.
• Basic computer skills and confidence using ordering systems and spreadsheets.
• Physically able to lift and maneuver boxes and heavy loads (+20kgs).
• A valid Australian driver's licence, an excellent driving record and confidence driving a small van.
• A proactive, dependable approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Monitor packaging and dry stock levels and maintain appropriate PAR levels.
• Place orders, coordinate with suppliers and follow purchasing procedures.
• Check incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality, and raise any issues with the Head Chef.
• Keep storage areas for equipment, dry goods and supplies clean, safe and organised.
• Deliver hot and cold catering to clients, during peak periods and lunch rush where a second driver is required.
• Provide friendly, professional service and clear handovers to clients.
• Prepare catering equipment and supplies for scheduled deliveries.
• Check orders against run sheets and support the Community Driver with additional delivery runs when needed.
• Safely load, transport and unload catering items, including driving a small delivery van.
• Keep purchasing, inventory and delivery records up to date.
