Job summary

Coles Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Catering Equipment is seeking an experienced technician in Newcastle, NSW to diagnose, service, maintain and repair a wide range of commercial catering equipment while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will work with a service team to complete reports, communicate with customers, and ensure safety and workmanship standards. A valid Australian driver license is required and occasional after-hours call-outs may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing commercial catering equipment or similar appliances.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults on commercial catering equipment.
• Service, maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
• Complete accurate service reports using Simpro.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and recommendations.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and safety.
• Manage vehicle stock and maintain company tools and equipment.
• Participate in an after-hours call-out roster (where applicable).

About the Role

Working as part of our service team, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial catering equipment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults on commercial catering equipment

• Service, maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment

• Carry out preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer requirements

• Complete accurate service reports using Simpro

• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and recommendations

• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and safety

• Manage vehicle stock and maintain company tools and equipment

• Gas Licence

• Restricted Electrical Licence or Disconnect/Reconnect qualification

• ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence

• Experience using Simpro or similar job management software
