Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is recruiting for casual catering staff to support our resident dining services in Coffs Harbour. You will help with meal service, assist with meal preparation, and ensure high-quality dining experiences for residents in a supportive team environment.

We value compassion, clear communication, and a safe, hygienic kitchen routine. A Certificate III in Hospitality is desirable but not essential; NDIS/Police checks are required or can be obtained.

As a member of the Catering team, you will be preparing high quality food and providing a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.

About the Role:

• Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required

• Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit
• Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
